SCTPA Board is supported by a number of committees to focus on specialized issues of regional concern that are under the purview of the Board.
A subcommittee of the SCTPA, the TMA Leadership Group focuses on the Tampa Bay Transportation Management Area (TMA), which is the tri-county urbanized core of the region. Comprised of three representatives each from the Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco County MPO boards, the Tampa Bay TMA Leadership Group meets regularly to develop consensus on regional transportation priorities for the Tampa Bay TMA.

WORKING GROUPS

The Directors and Managers of the MPO/TPOs, FDOT, TBARTA, and the RPCs are responsible for carrying out the regional work programs and coordinating process as directed by the SCTPA. On a monthly basis, the Team meets and develops the items to be brought before the SCTPA. If necessary, the Team develops and adopts a set of operating procedures to guide the manner in which this process is conducted. Team members are not appointed.

Comprised of representatives from each of the member MPOs, the TRIP working group meets as-needed to prioritize projects for the Transportation Regional Incentive Program (TRIP) funding program. The TRIP working group collaboratively prioritizes regional projects for this specific funding source and annually reviews those priorities.

The Multiuse Trails Working Group is comprised of staff members from each of the member MPOs and meets regularly to coordinate on regional trail projects. The MUT prioritizes major regional trail facilities, collectively advocates for SUNTrail funding for those priorities, and works towards the advancement of regional trail connections in the Tampa Bay region.
